Regions Permian, LLC (“Regions”) is a privately held oil and gas company focused on acquisition and development opportunities in select onshore basins throughout the United States, with a focus on the Permian Basin of Texas and New Mexico. Regions and its associated companies are managed by third generation oil and gas professionals based in Midland, Texas. Since 2013, Regions and its predecessors have collectively participated in the acquisition and divestiture of assets totaling over $500 million and covering over 30 counties across Texas and Oklahoma. In 2015, Regions partnered with a Kayne Anderson sponsored portfolio company, acquired and developed a position in core Midland Basin, and subsequently sold to Parsley Energy. In 2017, Regions partnered with Carnelian Energy Capital to pursue projects in the Midland Basin, subsequently selling to a Denver-Based Private E&P. Currently, Regions is pursuing Permian projects with private capital and strategic partners.

Mr. Newkumet is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Regions Permian, where he oversees the company’s development opportunities and transaction negotiations. Prior to founding Regions Permian, Mr. Newkumet founded Regions Energy LLC in 2012. Under his leadership, Regions Energy has established itself as an industry leader by successfully acquiring significant asset holdings in the Permian Basin. Prior to Regions Energy, Mr. Newkumet worked as a Landman in the Barnett Shale for Dale Property Services, LLC, a land brokerage firm hired by Chesapeake Energy Corporation. Born and raised in Midland, Texas, Mr. Newkumet is a proud third-generation member of a well established family of oilmen. He holds a BBA in Finance and Economics from Southern Methodist University, where he was awarded the Frank L. Pitts Oil and Gas Scholarship from the Cox School of Business.
Mr. Christensen serves as the Land Manager at Regions Permian. Previously, he worked as a Landman for BTA Oil Producers and was instrumental in navigating BTA through an aggressive expansion of its position in the Delaware Basin. Born and raised in Midland, Texas, Mr. Christensen has over 10 years of experience as a Landman and he possesses multigenerational connections to the oil and gas industry. He graduated from Texas Christian University and is a proud member of the American Association of Professional Landmen and the Permian Basin Landmen’s Association.
